One of the best books I’ve ever read. Woman’s World by Graham Rawle tells the story of Norma, an woman living in the perfect woman’s world. The tale is set in the 1960s, but what really brings it to life is that it is set in 1960s type from fragments of vintage magazines.
Collaged together from around 40,000 pieces of magazines, it took five years to produce (with the artwork alone taking two years). The end result is an absolute masterpiece, the story by itself is brilliant, and the collage approach gives it an amazing voice. An amalgamation of conceptual art, wonderful writing and awesome type. Buy it.

Graham Rawle also has lots of other great stuff here. I especially like the Bright Ideas series on his blog.
